Information on specific geyser fields:

Yellowstone National Park
Located in the northwest corner of Wyoming (and extending into Montana and Idaho), contains about 510 active geysers. Principal basins include:
  • Upper Geyser Basin (44°28' N, 110°50' W),
  • Lower Geyser Basin (44°33' N, 110°49' W),
  • Norris Geyser Basin (44°44' N, 110°42' W),
  • Shoshone Geyser Basin (44°21' N, 110°48' W),
  • Heart Lake Geyser Basin (44°18' N, 110°31' W),
  • West Thumb Geyser Basin (44°25' N, 110°34' W),
  • Gibbon Geyser Basin (44°41' N, 110°44' W).

Dolina Geizerov, Kronotsky National Biosphere Preserve, Russia
Located in Kamchatka, Russia, within Kronotsky Zapovednik (Kronotsky Strict Nature Reserve, or Kronotsky National Biosphere Preserve) at 54°26' N, 160° 8' E. Dolina Geizerov or "Valley of the Geysers" contains about 200 active geysers.

El Tatio, Chile and Bolivia
Located in northern Chile at 22°22' S, 68°03' W and extending across the border into Bolivia, this field contains about 67 active or dormant geysers.

North Island, New Zealand
Several basins on the North Island total about 50 active geysers. About 80% of New Zealand's geysers are extinct, mostly due to geothermal energy development. Present geyser basins (with approximate locations) include:
  • Orakeikorako (38°30' S, 176°10' E),
  • Rotorua (38°10' S, 176°16' E),
  • Waiotapu (38°20' S, 176°20' E),
  • Lake Rotomahana (38°17' S, 175°24' E),
  • Ketetahi (39°10' S, 175°40' E),
  • Tokaanu (38°58' S, 175°46' E).

Iceland
Geysers are scattered across Iceland in about 10-20 locations, encompassing about 31 active or dormant geysers. About 50% of Iceland's geysers are extinct as a result of geothermal energy development. Geyser basins (with approximate locations) include:
  • Borgarfjardharsysla (64°30' N, 21°30' W)
  • Haukadalur (64°19' N, 20°18' W)
  • Hruni (64°08' N, 20°16' W)?
  • Hveravellir (64°52' N, 19°33' W)?
  • Reykir in Olfus (66° N, 19° W)?
  • Reykjadalur (65°57' N, 18°47' W)
  • Torfastadhir (64°10' N, 20°30' W)?
