Abortion percentages represent pregnancies ending in induced abortion as a fraction of pregnancies ending either in live birth or induced abortion.

Estimates for the above plots use CDC data for abortion distributions by ages of women obtaining abortions, applied to AGI estimates of annual abortions. Estimate for 2009 abortions is based on data reported to date from state health agencies. Some missing data is interpolated. Live birth data by age of mother are from the CDC.
