Terragen, by Planetside Software, is a program for generating landscape scenes. It is capable of using suitably-formatted digital elevation datasets, such as files converted from the U.S. Geological Survey's digital elevation maps available for the United States. These use verion 0.9.43 of Terragen and USGS DEM files, mostly based on 1:24,000 scale files but some using 1:250,000 scale files.
