Type of event: accidental exposure to reactor components

Description:

During maintenance of a nuclear reactor, detectors from the reactor vessel were carelessly handled. One individual received a dose of 100 rad to the fingers of the left hand and a whole-body dose of 2.9 rad.

Consequences: 1 injury.
