An explosion on 4 March 1960 destroyed a ship loaded with munitions in the harbor of Havana, Cuba, killing 100; while the Cuban government attributed the explosion to sabotage, it is otherwise generally concluded to have been accidental.

Consequences: 100 killed, injured
