A ship carrying migrants and refugees from Egypt to Malta was intentionally rammed and sunk by human traffickers; 8 survivors; passengers were Palestinian, Syrian, Egyptian and Sudanese; casualties included 100 children killed and 1 injured.

Consequences: 450 killed, 8 injured
