Armed attack on city of Marawi by 70-100 terrorists; about 160,000 of the city’s 200,000 population fled the city; identified fatalities included 11 soldiers, 2 police, 1 security guard, 9 civilians from a Christian church, 10 other civilians, and 51 militants.

Consequences: 85 killed, 31 injured
